Sutco UK, the new OKLM ‘Glass MRFs’ are built with everything our standard commingled MRFs offer (see previous page) but then include the additional technology needed to remove the glass fraction from the recyclables. This usually includes a combination of extra mechanical screens, vibration/density separators, glass breakers, air separators and, if desired, optical glass sorting technology. Together, these items remove the glass fraction so the remaining recyclables are no longer contaminated by glass particles. They also recover the paper content from the glass fraction so no valuable material is lost as a residue along the glass line.
