: MRFs for Commingled Recyclables
Materials Recycling Facilities built by Sutco UK, the new OKLM provide a solution for local authorities and waste management companies wanting to recover and recycle kerbside collected commingled recyclables. Our robust and efficient plants help operators to reduce their costs, boost their revenues, meet UK legislation and benefit the environment.
In all our MRFs we use only the latest proven technology and processing know how to capture and segregate the incoming recyclables into ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, plastics, cards, mixed papers and News. We achieve this by using a mix of mechanical screening, air separation, metallic separation, optical sorting and minimised manual clean-up. We will often use additional optical sorting technology to produce further refi ned groups of plastic polymers
and colour types.
As well as advanced capture of all products across the plant, our MRFs are designed to produce the highest quality end-products to ensure the permanent option to sell the recovered materials to UK mills as well as overseas.
We also design all our MRFs with huge processing flexibility so operators can accept a variety of commingled mixes to meet the demands of their market.
